Meet TONELLA, a new songwriting sensation taking the music scene by storm.

Award nominated vocalist Tonella Roy is no stranger to the stage. Starting from a young age, this performer was immersed into the heart of music and lyric. "There has never been a moment when I haven't known that I was born to create music." Says Roy. "It's where I fit."

Known for her unique delivery and undeniable stage presence, Roy began working with internationally toured drummer Adam Doige to give life to the piano driven songs that she had created. That inspiration fueled a writing frenzy that resulted in the bulk of material that makes up TONELLA's debut album [Dreaming In Red], released October 2010.

Delving into the masks we wear in day to day life, [Dreaming In Red] explores the absolute of wanting, love, life, desire, loss, leaving, need, laughter, truth, reaching, attainment and unveiling of self. Roy says "Writing is where I live. To me, this whole album is about the truth that only is exposed (ironically enough) on stage and never in day to day interaction. People may see it as crazy - but its just honesty... on display.".

TONELLA's debut album is meant to conjure a certain "dream state" quality. And no song better encapsulates the intensity that this connection resonates - than Dreaming In Red's surreal single 'Faceless' - a song blending the euphoria and dread that accompanies the connections we create and break everyday.

Formed in Toronto, but coming together from various corners of the globe - Tonella Roy and Adam Doige are complimented by bassist Andrew Bain and guitarist Matt Sprague. "The four of us have chemistry that you cant fake" Roy recalls. Anyone who has witnessed a show can attest to the spirit they evoke - quirky, disturbing, charming but above all - real.
